My Story

Even though I have a lot of experience it was so lovely to find Bonnie Christine and her Flourish membership. Then followed up by the immersion course for all the amazing support, community, and answers I was looking for and didn't even know I needed.

My favorite thing is how it is all presented, it's all so inspiring and it got me inspired to start my own brand to create beautiful work I want to see in the world.

I love I can come and go when I feel like diving in again or need answers answered as I have lifetime access.

MY PATH TO IMMERSION:

I have been in the fashion & textile industry for about 19 years then I took a small break to have my daughter, while on maternity leave I felt the need to continue to be creative so I started drawing and did the 100-day challenge. Thinking I would return to my day job I was just drawing for fun.

Then I found Bonnie and all she had to offer with a lot of answers and opportunities. I had never really thought about doing it for myself. It felt all too hard and I pushed the ideas aside, but after hearing Bonnie's story and joining her Flourish membership out of curiosity, I started to feel like I could create my own brand if I just took things slowly and did even just one small thing a day that moved me closer to my big dreams and goals. With the help of the community and having an easy-to-follow pathway Bonnie made it all feel so achievable.

The thing that held me back from joining immersion was the cost. I didn't know because of my experience in Adobe if it would be worth the money for me. It was a big investment and I already knew so much from my long career designing and product development, but I took the dive. I wanted to invest in myself to get me on a new pathway where I had a different lifestyle. A lifestyle where I could work from anywhere, have flexible work hours, and put my family first when I needed to. Also, build something that was all mine that I could be proud of.

Even though I came into it with lots of experience, it just added another layer and gave me clarity on what I needed to do next to carve a new pathway for myself. The money spent was worth all the hours I would have spent stumbling around in the dark trying to piece it all together. I left feeling inspired and that I had all the tools I needed and what the net steps I needed to take to achieve my big goals.

After finishing the course I felt ready to kick start my brand and get creating my first Hufton Studio collection.

I wanted to immerse myself in it and start off this journey feeling really inspired, so I decided to sign up for Immersion 2021!!

Even though I'm very advanced in Adobe and have over 20 years of experience in the programs I still learned faster ways of doing things. It just got me in the right mindset to hit GO on my creativity! I finished the course & then jumped into designing.

I have now completed over 15 collections & have my designs with 7 online fabric retailers, I have done over 40 licensing collaborations for wallpaper, wall decals with Loomwell, Cloth Nappies brands, Baby Blankets/wraps, packaging, kids accessories, and more.

I have built a growing email list, a beautiful website, a Patreon membership to help fellow creatives on their journey, joined forces with my dear friend Ryann Scrafford to create Creative Studio Collective which is a place where we run workshops, Roundtable discusions, Portfolio Building Creative Briefs & much more, I have a following of over 20k and I just can't wait to see what 2023 will bring!

I tried to do at least one small thing a day

I focused on goal setting & breaking the big goals up into small doable bite size pieces for me to achieve more easily with being a new mum at the same time. It was hard work and the juggle of family & work is still hard at times but I LOVE what I am doing and creating.

I felt like someone was in my corner holding my hand and showing me the way…when before I meet Bonnie it all felt too hard & out of reach.

It has transformed my life and now I feel like there is no ceiling to my success.

I have been helping others on their journey & now offer One-On-One Coaching!!!

It is a lovely way to get all the answers answered that you need instead of stumbling around in the dark.

For anyone who signed up for Immersion this year, I offered a FREE One-on-One Coaching call to the first ten people that used my link to sign up

Here are some of the people I have helped with my one-on-one coaching sessions

Starting off as a freelance designer, there are so many paths and processes. I was initially unable to identify how to go about developing my business and skills and this led to overwhelm. Fleur helped me with my issues by giving guidance in a sustainable and sequential manner. This gave me a lot of clarity and improved my vision of my career.

She was clear with her advice and was also very patient and answered all my queries in detail. Her services are very helpful and rare to find in the surface pattern designer's profession. I greatly appreciate her guidance.
